President Yoweri Museveni is reportedly considering appeals from Uganda's top religious leaders and the Inter-Religious Council of Uganda following a meeting at his Kisozi country farm, where discussions are said to have focused on the country's current political climate.

According to reports, the President travelled to his Kisozi residence to reflect on concerns raised by the religious leaders, who, together with the Buganda Kingdom, urged him to take steps aimed at easing political tensions and promoting national reconciliation.

The delegation, reportedly led by Stephen Kazimba Mugalu, is said to have appealed to President Museveni to facilitate the release—at least on bail—of several opposition figures, arguing that such a move could help reduce tensions and foster dialogue.
